Urgent Care Center or Freestanding ER?

Do you know the difference? It's worth your hard-earned dollar to find out ahead of time.

If you intend to visit an urgent care facility, be sure it is an urgent care, or prompt care clinic and not a freestanding emergency center. Freestanding emergency centers charge Emergency Room rates. We welcome you to visit any of our three Urgent Care & Occupational Health Centers of Texas, P.A. To locate urgent care facilities in another state, visit the website of the Urgent Care Association of America (UCAOA). Look for one that is accredited, which indicates that they meet the industry standards for ambulatory care.
